A much belated Update entry
Well, it has been a while, hasn't it? To partially make up for yet another unintended absence, here is some belated and not-so-belated news items. (These are not given in any particular order.)

1. As I'm sure most of you know, SVU Season 15 will commence in two days. As per last year, it will be another double episode airing, picking up from last season's cliffhanger. Moreover, Dean Winters will return as Brian Cassidy, which is always a nice treat.

2. I recently discovered Law & Order UK's Series 7 finale, "Dependant," is actually based on the Jack/Abbie-era episode, "Phobia." Admittedly, "Phobia" is not my favorite, though, I'm glad UK is converting Jack/Abbie-era episodes, once again.

The ATLAO blog has the always useful recap:

3. Angie Harmon is currently on the cover of More Magazine (which I didn't know about until last week):

I'll include an additional link, as per this Harmon commentary piece on homosexuality, her politics and Lee Thompson Young's sudden passing:

4. Tonight marks the 15th anniversary of "Cherished" or Abbie Carmichael's television debut. I wish I had something special in mind to celebrate, except real life continues to keep calling. (I hope to rectify that in the future, although, I have no idea when this will be.) Regardless, at least, all of Carmichael's television fare is now finally on Region 1 DVD, so I suggest everyone pop in his or her Mothership Season 9 set and watch the magic unfold, in the meantime.

5. Evidently, MyNetworkTV shall air weekday SVU, starting this week. Tonight features "Payback," so enjoy seeing the Abbie 6 during the next three weeks.

Until the next posting (or the next SVU Episode Discussion), have a good week or month. Hope everyone had a good summer.
